Overview

Katherine Cienkus represents clients across various industries in a wide range of litigation matters. Katherine has experience guiding clients through government and internal investigations, as well as complex civil and criminal litigation. She also frequently works with pro bono clients regarding disability rights-related matters. Before joining Morgan Lewis, Katherine was an associate in the government investigations & white collar practice of another global law firm and served as a law clerk to Chief Judge Virginia M. Kendall of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Katherine spent one year as a visiting student at the University of Oxford, Pembroke College, where she was a member of the Oxford Law Society and mixed lacrosse team. Katherine later spent one semester in the London Law Program, where she externed for a global law firm and for a prominent human rights charity. Katherine maintains an active pro bono practice. She is particularly passionate about disability rights and works with local organizations in the areas of housing, education, guardianship, and civil rights. While in law school, Katherine externed for the Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division, Disability Rights Section and for Access Living, a Chicago-based nonprofit.
